Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Aufgrund von Problemen bei Buchungen mit dem Hotel bzw. seiner Bank (es wurde mal verfrĂŒht abgebucht, dann doppelt) wurde letztlich, und wir befanden uns bereits im Urlaub, behauptet man habe nicht gezahlt und lud uns aus. Das muss man sich mal vorstellen. Noch nie erlebt sowas. Wie das Hotel ist, wenn man dort ist, können wir somit nicht beurteilen aber so ein Verhalten, was da an den Tag gelegt wurde, lĂ€sst mich nur zu dem Fazit kommen, dass Sie lieber ein Hotel im nahen Umkreis suchen sollten. Solch eine Aktion hat fĂŒr kurze Zeit den Urlaub kaputt gemacht.

Gutes Guesthouse in Hluhluwe

Waren fĂŒr 1 Nacht im Kudu-Room. Zimmer ist gerĂ€umig und angenehm ausgestattet. Die Lodge liegt recht ruhig am Ortsrand. Unser Zimmer ging zum Innenhof und so bekam man gelegentlich GesprĂ€che anderer GĂ€ste mit. Da es am Abend recht kĂŒhl war, hatte aber niemand Lust, sich lange draußen aufzuhalten. So hatten wir eine ruhige Nacht. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Die Lodge eignet sich gut als Standort zum Besuch der umliegenden SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten.

Ama Zulu Guesthouse and Safaris

Wir haben die Amazulu Lodge aufgrund ihrer NĂ€he zum Nationalpark gewĂ€hlt (ca. 15min Anreisezeit). Die Zimmer und insbesondere das Badezimmer waren sehr gerĂ€umig und sauber. Leider gab es einen leichten mĂŒffeligen Geruch. Hier wĂŒrde vielleicht ein Raumdeo helfen. Der Besitzer hat uns freundlich empfangen und gleich Informationen zum Ort (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten/Restaurants) zur VerfĂŒgung gestellt. Leider sind diese im Ort etwas eingeschrĂ€nkt. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck haben wir nicht gebucht, da wir frĂŒh zum Nationalpark losgefahren sind. Es sah allerdings gut und reichhaltig aus.

HĂŽtel sympa ds le centre ville mais au calme (proche station essence et supermarchĂ© ) nous avons passe une nuit et c est une bonne nuit dans la chambre guĂ©pard : trĂšs bien Ă©quipe et bien dĂ©corĂ© ! il Faut etre vĂ©hiculĂ© mais possibilitĂ© de garer sa voiture ! À 15mn de l entrĂ©e de la reserve :-)

AprÚs la magie ... la désillusion

Cette Guesthouse a tout pour plaire, un joli cadre, une jolie dĂ©coration, le parc False Bay Ă  proximitĂ©. Mais on a plutĂŽt eu un syndrome Disneyland ; la belle grande salle de bain s'est rĂ©vĂ©lĂ©e en fait attaquĂ©e par les cafards, l'eau de la piscine Ă©tait verte, le quartier Ă©tait bruyant la nuit (des chiens aboyant en plein milieu de la nuit pendant plusieurs heures, des trains ...), il faut impĂ©rativement passer par le gĂ©rant pour donner un pourboire Ă  la femme de mĂ©nage .... Par ailleurs pour le moindre service, on vous fera comprendre avec insistance et rĂ©pĂ©tition que ce ne sera pas gratuit. Dans notre cas, nous voulions connaĂźtre une adresse pour laver notre linge. La gĂ©rante nous a proposĂ© de le faire faire par la femme de mĂ©nage pour une 20aine d'euros (sans connaĂźtre la quantitĂ©). GenĂ©s de confier notre linge Ă  laver Ă  la main Ă  une tierce personne et pour un tel prix, nous avons donc fait cela nous-mĂȘme et avons expliquĂ© Ă  l'ensemble des personnes nous sollicitant avec insistance que le problĂšme Ă©tait rĂ©solu. Au final, notre linge a Ă©tĂ© sĂ©chĂ© Ă  la machine sans notre consentement alors qu'un magnifique soleil brillait dehors et aurait fait le travail gratuitement. Evidemment, la gĂ©rante est revenue Ă  la charge pour demander de l'argent pour l'Ă©lectricitĂ© ... La pratique nous a fortement gĂȘnĂ©, d'autant plus que tous nos vĂȘtements ne supportaient pas le sĂšche linge. VoilĂ  une Guesthouse qui pour nous n'en a que le nom.

So close but missed the mark

The room and facilities were wonderful, and our stay would have been great if the check-in hadn’t been sour. We pulled in at time of check-in, 2pm and were buzzing outside to be let in for 15 mins so we decided to go to small town and come back. On our return it took another 5 mins to get a response, then as we walked in the reception staff just said he had fallen asleep. My husband came in and complained about the wait, the staff got upset and became very rude. Really unnecessary, a sorry would have been good enough.
