Still My Go To Hotel In the Amsterdam Area
Another great weekend stay at easyHotel Zaandam. Super convenient, just 5 minutes from Zaandam Station and a short train ride to Central Station or the direct to Schiphol Airport.
Shopping, coffee and grocery is just steps away. 10 minute walk and you're in the Dam for a wide selection of restaurants. Venture further and see the less touristy side of Zaandam, where there are 2-3 larger grocery stores and more restaurants and local shops. Walk along the canal or watch the boats pass thru the canal locks.
After many stays in the Amsterdam area, I have made easyHotel Zaandam my go to hotel. The rooms are not spacious, there is a lack of space for a suitcase, and a closet with 4 hangers doesn't handle shirts/trousers/jacket very well. But it is clean with plenty of hot water and multiple security (key required) doors to get to your room. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. This trip, Aurora made sure I was well taken care of.
Highly recommend for shorter trips or if you don't require much space. It's a comfortable space in a comfortable town. It just feels welcoming.
