Never Cleaned our room
They never cleaned our room the entire time we were there (4 days). I inquired about it 5 times, and they never did anything. The "maid service please" sign was on our hotel door handle most of the time and they ignored it. I asked the front desk quite a few times if i could get soap, toilet paper, clean towel, etc...... I ended up waiting 90 mins to take a shower because I was waiting for the soap. They kept telling me, "a few more mins." Eventually, I just got soap from my friends who were also on vacation. Other than that, I enjoyed it. The cleaning situation was the only thing I can complain about. I would recommend to bring your own towels, shampoo, soap, etc.... if you stay there.

Tired resort
It took 45 minutes to check in and our rooms were not ready until after 5 pm. The rooms are old, but comfortable. The buffet food is meh, and nothing is labeled. We were able to reserve one dinner at the restaurant, which was very good, but the reservations fill up very early, even if you get in line before the reservation desk opens in the morning. Hot tub is luke warm. Late check out was not possible. Restaurant employees are friendly.

Food intoxication
The woman of the check in wasn't polite , when we get in the room I tried to seat in a chair but was broken, my child took a shower and not hot water, I went to request the reception for change the room, the woman refused she acts as Wasnt true so I took a picture of the chair and she sent the maintenance to fix the water. The water was never hot , just warm. Next day after my son eat there pasta he got sick , I went to the hospital he was intoxicated from the food . Really bad. The ocean isnt nice to swim on the beach is full of algues actually isnt sand only rocks.

No estoy nada satisfecha
Nada satisfecha, el cuarto, olía a muchísima humedad, las instalaciones y áreas muy descuidadas, , muchos detalles que podrían estar mejor, ya que el hotel es bonito, pero descuidado . Las tostadas de marisco, apenas y tenían mariscos, no encuentras al menos un ceviche de pescado o camarón se supone que estás en el mar un guacamole ,una simple ensalada ni eso, la pizza horrible,(hawaiana). del personal la mayoría bien pero destacando al mesero Pedro , que nos atendió excelente a la hora del almuerzo . A las 11 nos dijeron que era el check out, nos entregan 3:30 la habitación y a las 11 am ya casi te corren del hotel, una recepcionista muy grosera y nada amable , ni siquiera nos quiso guardar la maleta,mientras nos íbamos del hotel para disfrutar un poco más, nos dijo que la dejáramos ahí en el lobby( botada) , según por qué donde se guardaban las maletas estaba lleno. Los cocteles muy malos.

Saw the nice price. Totally regret it
The place has so much potential, nice pool (just needs to be cleaned), rooms are adequate and clean . That’s the good part. The food is adequate if you like buffet with zero flavor. I had to ask for salt and pepper. There is a menu to order from and I met nothing but resistance and excuses why I couldn’t order from it. Finally a quick call to the manager allowed me to order from the menu. Drinks are in recycled cups. No pool bar. It’s non functional. No bar stools at the other bar. Bottom of the budget. Cheapest beverages and food available. It’s very sad because all you see is the wealth of potential this place could be. Until they make some serious changes I would not let the price entice you to book here. You will regret it.

Everyone working at the hotel were very friendly helpful and professional. Everything was super clean. Some maintenance going on outside which did not bother us at all it was good to see that they were taking care of the outside. However, it seems that their bathroom shower area could do with an upgrade. We had two rooms and both were equally disappointing. Definitely some remodeling is needed in the rooms.

We’ve been staying at El Cozumeleno for 20 years. We like the small all inclusive vibe. There is a great snorkeling area directly in front of the hotel. Pepe Scuba picks us up right at the pier. The food is always good. Most importantly, the staff treats us like family. They’re very kind, attentive people. The rooms need some updating but for us it’s a very convenient location.

The dress dining facility was disappointing. Same food every day and it wasn't worth the reservation and dress up effort. overall food was substandard. Little variety and low quality.

Great people we have been to this resort 14 times great people and great service. From fredrico at the door and Martha at the desk to Cezar in Activities and waiters and bar tenders Santiago,luis German randy,.mateo,Aaron and many more they know us by name and treat us like Family. Definitely many many more trips in our future

We came to this resort as a young couple, 1st time out of the country 25 years ago. Coming back was for nostalgia... wish we had not. It's not well upkept at all, and the few places is AC, were still so humid and sticky. The buffet is sad. The restaurant is quite good, however.

Las personas son muy gentiles te reciben con los brazos abiertos y eso es fabuloso. Desafortunadamente el hotel le deben de hacer actualizaciones como en las camas que no son muy cómodas, la comida no es lo mejor esperas algo más local como mariscos o algo similar. Más variedad de comida.

I can’t say enough good things about the staff at this property!! Everyone is very friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Rooms are very clean! Unfortunately, the facility itself is in need of serious updating. We loved being able to snorkel right at the resort and having the scuba shop on the property was very convenient. They do not have very many activities or entertainment- but the activity staff are great!! The food was tasty, but there are really only two restaurant choices. If you are looking for a relaxing low key vacation, this is a good option! That was the primary objective of our stay and it was a success!!
