Top landmarks in Brooklyn
Brooklyn Bridge
9.0/10 (15,533 reviews)
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing, head to Brooklyn Bridge – just one of the monuments located 3.3 mi (5.3 km) from the centre of New York. Our travellers also love the museums and art galleries in the area – your sightseeing tour starts here. Brooklyn has lots of other important landmarks that you might want to see, such as One World Trade Center, Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center.
You could catch an event at Barclays Center Brooklyn, a major stadium located 5.2 mi (8.3 km) from the centre of New York.
Let yourself be amazed at the art galleries and museums in the area too. If you think Barclays Center Brooklyn is cool, you might also like Madison Square Garden and Steinberg Wellness Center, both located nearby.
Brooklyn Heights Promenade is worth a visit, located 3.1 mi (5 km) from central Brooklyn. Why not live the cultural experience and visit the art galleries, monuments and museums in the area?
Brooklyn Museum is 1.1 mi (1.8 km) from central Brooklyn, why not stop by during your stay? If you want to experience more of the culture Brooklyn has to offer, head to One World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, and Barclays Center Brooklyn.
Ready for an education in local botany? Brooklyn Botanic Gardens should make your list of places to visit, located 1.2 mi (1.9 km) from central Brooklyn. Let yourself be amazed at the museums and art galleries in the area too. Want to stretch your legs a little more? Head to Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden and Mount Prospect Park, both a short walk away.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing, head to Brooklyn Navy Yard – just one of the monuments located 4 mi (6.4 km) from the centre of New York. Brooklyn has lots of other important landmarks that you might want to see, such as One World Trade Center, Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center.
If you're looking for things to do when staying in Brooklyn, go to Music Hall of Williamsburg. Let yourself be amazed at the art galleries and museums in the area too.
Crossing the iconic Brooklyn Bridge rewards with Manhattan skyline views that explain why locals never tire of this commute. Hipster haven Williamsburg buzzes with vintage shops and bearded baristas who take coffee more seriously than most people take religion. Prospect Park offers Frederick Law Olmsted's 'other masterpiece' - he actually preferred it to Central Park. The Brooklyn Museum houses treasures without Manhattan's crowds, while Coney Island's Luna Park delivers nostalgic thrills alongside Nathan's famous hot dogs. Barclays Centre brings world-class entertainment, but true Brooklyn reveals itself in area pizzerias where families have guarded secret recipes for generations. Brighton Beach serves authentic Russian fare in restaurants where English remains strictly optional.
Everything was fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff, wonderful community lounge with amenities. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to be right in the action of NYC but also be able to have a quiet sleep.

A lovely hotel in a great area of Williamsburg super close to all the shops, parks and restaurants. Room was a great size for NYC, with a comfortable bed, balcony and decent sized en suite. Well stocked and varied mini bar, pod coffee maker and quick room service. Breakfast at Leuca was hot and miss depending on the server you had, but we mainly chose to explore the local restaurants and coffee shops for meals as the choice is immense. Would visit Williamsburg and stay here again.

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

Welcoming staff and a small (expected in New York) single room which had been very well thought out and worked really well. Grand central was a walk away and perfect for getting around the city. Breakfast was excellent, way better than expected and things like a steamer for clothes was wonderful, loved my stay, bed comfy. Highly recommended

Perfect base for a first visit to New York. In a great spot in Brooklyn, away from the busy streets of Manhatten, with easy access to subway system.
Very clean, helpful staff, all the amenities you need in a suite.
The use of a free short distance chauffeured vehicle was also great, to get us to the best subway stop (Vernon Jackson) to get straight into the city.
Cannot recommend highly enough!

Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a Brooklyn hotel. If you're seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer improved value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a more favourable rate.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier. However, with Brooklyn's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
