The hotel is convenient and well maintained with good service in the breakfast room. This is like a business hotel, very basic, small rooms. The room was supposed to be 18sq ms, but seemed much smaller as we only had a double bed and there wasn’t much space to walk or open suitcases.
We were only given one pillow each which made it uncomfortable to read in bed. The bed had a hard mattress, typical in Japan. I had a hard time sleeping due to noise in the halls. Our room was near the elevators (avoid rooms ending in 19), water refilling station and laundry room making for a lot of noise, particularly the constant dings of the elevators.
The breakfast was very good, though expensive. They have fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, fruit, egg station and lots of Asian options.
This was my 4th hotel in Tokyo this year and the most expensive, so I was expecting a little more luxury, but it was pretty similar to other budget hotels I stayed in, though this room was much smaller. I asked if I could upgrade to a twin room but they wanted another $300 CAD for the privilege, which I thought was crazy since twin rooms I had booked at similar hotels were actually the same price I had paid for this double bed room.
