Won't stay again.
Check in went smooth and room was easily accessible. ROOM KEYS WERE SHUT OFF MID TRIP! Had to make an unexpected trip to the lobby at nearly midnight just to get into our room. This is extremely poor service! Also, carpet had something on it that made it sticky. Needed to be shampooed.

Middle of the road hotel.
Nothing special about this property. Not the best but not the worst. There is a convention center attached next door and there was a wedding or event going on which took up all the parking spaces near the front. Had to park out back which seemed a little sketch. The front drive had cars parked all over the place and double parked so it was hard to even pull into the front to check in. Very loud noises in the lobby the night we stayed but didn't hear it once in our room. Bleach stains on more than one place on the carper in the hall directly in front of our door. My teenage daughter kept calling them blood stains and I'm pretty sure she was correct. Beds were comfy and seemed clean. Probably wouldn't stay there again but if you're looking to save some money it's alright for the night. 👍

Old, smelly, loud, not well kept
We had reserved the deluxe room which was supposed to include 2 king beds and sleeps 5. When we got there, the room contained a king and a full bed. There was a couch for the 5th person, but be warned it is just a regular couch without bedding, not a pullout bed. The room was over the restaurant which hosted a party with very loud music until midnight. Once the music died down we realized that we could hear every footstep and conversation in the lobby. The worst part though was the smell. It resembled baby powder and was very strong. I asked to be moved to a different room, but the friendly front desk said that there was nothing they could do. Overall, the hotel is very old and shows it. We missed the turn into the property because their sign was not lit (not working?). There is bullet proof glass in the lobby protecting the person at the front desk. I wasn't comfortable having my family there. I'm so glad we were only there one night. I cannot believe there was an 8.0 "very good" rating for this hotel on hotels.com. I won't be trusting their rating system ever again. There are pawn shops, payday loans and gentlemen's clubs surrounding this hotel. Not a great location for your family.

Excellent stay for the price. Very, very clean. Friendly customer service. Coffee in lobby area only. Easy parking. No real frills, but great for what you pay.

Not thrilled
The room was average for the age of the hotel; lots of parking, didn't look like they had many bookings, carpet had odd texture like it was sticky-needs to be shampooed. KEY WAS TURNED OFF THE DAY BEFORE WE WERE TO CHECK OUT! That is VERY poor service! Won't stay here again!

Do yourself a favor and read this before booking
Where to I start... see attached picks after reading. 1) I booked a room for five. The room only was accommodating for four. It took until night 3 of 4 to get a roll away bed so a party didn't have to sleep on the non-pullout sofa. 2) On night three we experienced a water leak from the sprinkler system. Water began dripping through a light fixture heavily - surely a safety issue, and we were unable to get a good nights sleep yet again. Staff was unable to help other than providing a bowl. Outside maintenance was able to get to it mid-morning and make the repair. 3) Night four included the gift of a party downstairs with a DJ. Before 10 PM I can understand. 10 PM to 12 AM was a bit much especially with two small children though at this point we had given up on any expectation of hospitality. 4) Finally, the "security system" to lock the front door of the hotel was a 2 x 4 lodged between the door handles. I thought this was pretty janky, but on the last night/early morning as I was going for a run, a new attendant commented that it was there because a guest just happened to break the lock "last night". Seriously comical. I want my money back.

Close to Disneyland but hotel didnt feel secure.
So my partner and i needed a hotel close to Disneyland and Brookhurst was decently priced and had a fair review. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very nice. Once we received our keys and went up to the room we noticed the elevator appeared almost broken and unserviced. It jaulted when it stopped and the emergency tabs and call box were ripped out of the wall (very concerning). We also noticed ANYONE can just walk into the hotel with NO KEY. The side gate that "required a key" didnt need one and jump opened for ANYONE. This immediately made us feel unsafe. The pool key guard was the same exact way and then cops patrolling the hotel. Also there were a group of random children running around playing through the broken door which was pretty odd and the outlets in our room were popped out of the wall, the toilet paper dispenser appear to almost just come off the wall and the bath spout looked as if it was kicked sideways. It felt kind of creepy and unwelcoming. We will not be staying here again.
