Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and nicely styled. Rooms are much tighter than we had in other cities across Japan but that may just be how it is in such a central location. It came as a surprise, though, that only about five inches separated the two beds and the "walkway" at the foot of the beds was maybe 12-14 inches. The bathroom was insanely tiny - perhaps about 30 square feet in total for the toilet, tub and sink. Much, much smaller than our hotels in Shinjuku, Osaka, Kyoto and Fujiyoshida -- and smaller even than we've seen in RVs stateside. Another quibble -- the combination washer/dryer machines (Sanyos) did much worse at drying than the exact same machines at our hotel in Kyoto and Shinjuku. So maybe they're in need of maintenance. But again, nice folks and the place was clean.
