The check in staff was very nice and that's where my positive experiences ended. The property is littered with signs that say "extreme make over hotel edition " which was a way to cover obvious differed maintenance and poor conditions. To my surprise sticking from the wall next to my bed were 3 metal pipes pertruding at shin height waiting for me to jam my leg with it in the dark of night while going to the bathroom, they were covered in blue painters tape and painted the wall cover and flanked by, yup, an extreme hotel make over sign. In addition, the toilet never flushed properly and maintenence had to be called to my room twice to address over flow issues, this could be due to the fact that it was a wall mount toilet that was NOT mounted to the wall and the resulting gap was filled with spray foam, covered with duct tape and painted the wall cover (I sense a trend). The carpet was stained heavily around the legs of the night stands, since its a "pet friendly " property... well, you know. And then I moved the bed side chair and found empty drink bottles, construction dust and more stains. When I brought this up with the check out staff I was told " we are under staffed". So I guess that was my fault. I expect better from La Quinta/Wyndham, one this is certain, this was my last stay at this property.
