Relaxing holiday in well maintained resort.
Great week in a spacious villa with nice views over the golf course to ocean. Having breakfast in the balcony was unforgettable. The bed was confortable and all utilities we needed were available. We would choose this place again.

The one bedroom unit was enormous with a full size kitchen, living room and dining room. The shower was big enough to fit a horse. It was a beautiful property next to a good course on Ali’i Drive in walking distance to Keauhou Shopping Plaza. Lots of good eats.

A Conveniently Located Property
The staff at check in and during our stay were quite helpful, responsive, prompt and friendly! The woman who checked us out on 10/15, not so much. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. There are signs in the main pool area that don't really serve the purpose, since no one was there to enforce them when we were there in the early morning, between 8 - 10 am. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will likely consider a return to the property the next time we are in Kona. Thank you!

Kona Coast Resort was a perfect stay for my wife and I - staff here are amazing. A nice location slightly out of the Kona thoroughfare. Great sized rooms & fully equipped kitchen. Not associated with the resort itself, however as a word of warning if staying here, unless you want to buy into a timeshare, don't sign up with the activities desk for a 'short presentation' to unlock discounted activity rates.

We didn't have AC for the last 24hrs and the power went out. I loved the staff but was disappointed to see how dirty the floors were.

Weird vibe- it’s a timeshare property Mixed use. Awkward. Rooms are just ok. Dated, shabby and a bit dirty. ROACHES. They do not care and do not spray often enough. Could have been upfront about it. The pool doesn’t open until 8:00 am and workout room at 5:30 am. We had a nice view, but my daughters room did not and it had an awful smell (along with the roaches) The pool/bar/restaurant had the absolute worst service we encountered the whole trip. Kona is great, but don’t stay here. Look close at the numbers in clock below- yes, he is alive

Keep looking.
Very dated hotel. For the money I had expected a much better room. It was clean enough so that part was good. However, in the area we were placed had mismatched paint in repaired stucco and wood. The walkways were cracked and chipping. The unit itself was decorated in the 80's and showed signs of wear. Bed was ok, but the towels were very thin and smelled of mold and bleach. From the moment you step out of your car, the timeshare people are on you. You can't even check in until they have your info. Ick . Also, there is no beach. The pictures in the ad showed a beach, but it is a mile away Best part was the view of the sunset from the bar and pool. The nightly entertainment in the bar was hit or miss.

Great!
I loved the condo. I think it was on the older side of the property, but it had quite a few upgrades, such as new sinks, new tiles in one of the bathrooms, and new toilets. You could tell not everything was renovated, but it was in a good shape. The view was nice (to the golf course), the unit was spacious, had one bedroom and two full bathrooms, a large balcony (lanai), AC, and a well appointed kitchen. What else can you ask for?

Overall, the property was great & offered a fantastic value - 8/10 Spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with kitchen & living room. Unit has washer & dryer & huge balcony. All cleaning products are included & replenished for free. Air conditioning is free when booking with Expedia. There's a small store on site which also offers rentals. We especially enjoyed the week long cooler rental, which was affordable. Daily activities are offered for low or no cost. Free equipment is offered (shuffleboard, pickleball, etc.). Beautiful sunrises & sunsets are viewable from the property. The bad - the location is not close to beaches or downtown Kona area, although the area does have some shopping & restaurants nearby. The quiet pool (adults) is only open until 9pm, while the family pool stays open until 11pm (kids) - seems backwards. The quiet pool has 3 entrances, one of which was not working and not repaired during our stay. YES - there are cockroaches in the units & on the property. The property stays on top of managing the endemic species. The ones in our unit were small, but the ones around the pool areas are large, full grown adults. Cockroaches are an endemic species & if you go in with that mindset and buy traps - they are manageable. The property should supply Hoy Hoy traps as they work great. The unit could be cleaner - but I wouldnt say it's dirty. Little details like hairs in the sinks, food & belongings from previous guests&window cleaning were missed.
