This hotel is a gem. Very nice rooms. Secure fast elevators. Beautiful breakfast/afternoon food eating area on 23rd floor with gorgeous large balcony. Coffee all day and a lovely place to work during the day and nice area off lobby as well. Great location.

I was given an upgrade at check in and that was very much appreciated. Niki on reception was absolutely a true professional and remembered me from my previous stay as did several members of staff from the door men to upstairs in the lounge. Bravo to all and as a solo traveller that made my trip very special. Sonia in the lounge was gracious and charming as always and I never felt alone. A true sign of a good hotel. I note some small minor changes. Real glasses in the lounge. Attention to detail such as bath robes and slippers. These are small details but are very comforting to see a property improving all the time. It's a well used hotel and some signs of wear and tear which is to be expected. Bed was bery very comfortable beautifully made each day and my room was cleaned to perfection each day! I am looking forward to coming back in the next 6 months. Thank you to all the team. John

This was our second stay. The Suite works perfectly for our family and having breakfast and evening snacks/drinks available is a great perk. Our specific room this time was not the best (next to the service elevator). We spoke with Nick at the front desk who tried everything he could to move us, but because there was a wedding taking place, no suites were available. After trying his best, he ended up providing compensation for our troubles. He was extremely kind in doing this! The rooms are clean, bathrooms a good size for NYC, location could not be better, and the gym is a plus!

The room was clean and well appointed. The heat/ac unit works great, which is important to me. Included in the extra fee is a breakfast and dinner (with complimentary wine and beer) that is exceptional. Lots of good food and yummy desserts. Staff are terrific. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Carnegie Hall, which is extremely convenient. The happy hour provided by the hotel was substantial enough to count as dinner and was filling, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of options and was very satisfying. The staff handling luggage storage were especially friendly. Before we got our room, we went in and out several times, and they patiently helped us retrieve our belongings each time.

It was a comfortable stay in a hotel as quiet as downtown New York can be thanks to the higher floors, with one of the better US hotel breakfasts I've had. The hotel is showing it's age in the room furniture, fixtures, carpets etc., but everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
