12 Best Nightlife Experiences in Nusa Dua

Devdan Show is a 90-minute theatre performance with stunning visuals, world-class aerial acrobatics and mind-blowing dance choreography. With a storyline that lets you enjoy a fantastical tour of the Indonesian Archipelago, the performance focuses on Indonesia's cultural diversity with island-hopping episodes, from Bali to Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Papua. 

After the show ends, you can have your photos taken with the cast and crew, all in full costumes outside the auditorium. Devdan Show takes place several times a week at the Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, which is adjacent to The Bay complex of beachfront restaurants.

King Cole Bar follows on the fame of its counterpart at St. Regis New York, the birthplace of the Bloody Mary. St. Regis Bali Resort's bar has a luxurious lounge area, where you can enjoy fine champagnes, divine martinis and cocktails shaken with freshly squeezed juices. 

An excellent spot if you like to spend your evenings in luxury, the resort hosts a fire dance ritual with dancers parading through the resort and lighting up torches at specific points. Tapa Bistro occupies an alfresco space within The Balé Nusa Dua, where you can enjoy relaxed mingling, with occasional DJ sets and live music. The bistro’s menu consists of tapas, desserts and elaborate cocktails. 

Standouts include goat cheese ravioli and veal carpaccio with fois gras, as well as Indonesian dishes like sate lilit (wrap-style satay) and spicy ayam Taliwang (roast chicken). 

Luna Bonita offers an extensive range of dishes, from local Balinese and Indonesian selections to Mexican dishes, along with live entertainment in the evenings. Acoustic guitarists and traditional Balinese dancers take to the stage nightly. 

Most of the time, these performers interact with diners, and so do the waiting staff, to get everyone dancing and joining in on the fun.

Tavern De Bali Nusa Dua has a relaxed pub atmosphere, with a menu of snack varieties and fancy cocktails. Steaks, pasta and Mexican food are ready for those feeling peckish, and the interiors feature vintage photographs and posters, as well as old English landscapes.

Pasar Senggol at Grand Hyatt Bali is an open-air restaurant inspired by a traditional Balinese market. You can enjoy a wide range of cuisines, served from uniquely designed stalls and carts, each with its own specialised kitchen and culinary teams. There are seafood grills, Asian wok stations, Indonesian favourites, and dessert carts. Open for dinner, it’s located at the resort’s west wing, right down from the lobby. 

There’s also an evening activity area as well as a Balinese handicraft exhibition and market. Pasar Senggol at Grand Hyatt Bali hosts traditional Balinese performances onstage, including the mesmerising kecak choral dance.

Nyoman’s Beer Garden is right outside the southern gates of Nusa Dua's ITDC tourism enclave. This bar offers international and local cuisine, together with cocktails and international beers. TVs screen live international sports nightly, while daily happy hours include 1-for-1 on small draughts (1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm) and 2-for-1 on selected cocktails (3pm to 5pm and 8pm to 11pm). 

While you can get there on foot if you’re staying at one of the hotels within IDTC, Nyoman’s Beer Garden also offers free shuttle services for added convenience.

The Budaya Cultural Theatre at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel forms the centrepiece of the resort, showcasing traditional Balinese dances on a large open stage. On Wednesdays or other scheduled times of the week, you can usually watch an eloquent Legong dance performance while enjoying a wide range of Indonesian dishes, including Bali’s famous babi guling (roast suckling pig). Dinner is served at 7pm and the stage comes to life with dancers and a live gamelan troupe from 8pm.

Pica Tapas Bar is a popular Spanish and Mediterranean restaurant that you can find within the Bali Collection arcade. Every evening, its bar scene comes to life with a festive vibe, and all-you-can-eat promos and live performances. 

Enjoy caipirinhas (Brazilian cocktail) and rodicios (buffet), along with samba on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Live bands take to its broad stage, playing Latin and pop music to liven up the atmosphere.

Salsa Bar at Grand Hyatt Bali is the place to be if you want to enjoy cocktails with a panoramic view of the Nusa Dua coastline, Bali’s neighbouring islands, and the Indian Ocean. It’s located on the rooftop of Italian restaurant Salsa Verde, and can accommodate up to 150 people at a time. 

Signature cocktails at Salsa Bar include Nusa Dua Sunset (gin, Campari, apricot brandy, triple sec, orange and pineapple juice) and Angung Lava (rum, coconut liqueur, strawberry, pineapple and banana).
