Texas Civil War Museum
Walk the footsteps of the War Between the States

The Texas Civil War Museum is dedicated to tracing the history of the War Between the States and is amongst the largest of its kind west of the Mississippi. The galleries and exhibits display artefacts like weapons, gear, and uniforms, and exhibits on loan from groups such as the United Daughters of the Confederacy are spread amongst 3 galleries.
You can view cannons and artillery, flags, rifles, Victorian-era dress collections, uniforms, and more. A 75-seat cinema allows you to view a documentary about the role of Texas in the war. The museum is just about 15 minutes northwest of city centre.
